Ancel Keys was the man who got America to fear eating fat. This landed him on the cover of Time. Only trouble was, his Lipid Hypothesis that fat clogged arteries and made you fat was wrong.

I know. Hard to believe, right?

Another word for “hypothesis” is “guess.” Keys guessed wrong. And America’s obesity crisis can be traced directly back to his flawed science.
