Magnesium Citrate is a mineral that stimulates your bowels to push the food along. Magnesium also absorbs the water you drink so it keeps things smooth. There are lots of kinds of magnesium, so be sure to get magnesium citrate. Other formulations are for different purposes so you need to make sure you get CITRATE.
The amount you take will depend on your body. I take a 200 mg capsule per day and voila. Works every time. For some, it may be a little more or a little less. Make sure you are using the capsules only. Don’t get the liquid version.
