Salad Dressings

Add to favorites
Certain salad dressings have now been approved for ZReduction! Add a bit of tang, richness, or flavor to your unlimited greens. Your options include:
- Ranch
- Caesar
- 1000 Island
- Vinaigrette (any made without sugar)
You can use up to 2 Tbsp per day. Use as little as possible. 2 Tbsp is an absolute maximum. If you stall at all use only non-oil dressing options on the side.
Enjoy!
Cheers,

What brand of salad freeing has no sugar?
Hi JeanWe, finding salad dressings without sugar can be rather tricky. You can always make your own salad dressings or use one of the ZApproved dressings listed in the food index in the back of your manual. Good news: Zola has approved a few full fat dressings for ZReduction. You can have up to 2 Tbl of full fat Caesar, full fat ranch, full fat vinaigrette or full fat Thousand Island. Enjoy!
One more item…. that’s 2 TBL MAX per DAY. Try to use as little as possible to get an essence of dressing but not really over-dress your salad or you’ll stall out. And if you do stall… use only the dressing recipes on the site. or dress your salad with just sea salt and pepper. You get used to it.
One more item… in the vinaigrette category… use only ones that are not sweet. So stay away from any with sugar toward the top of the ingredients list. That means stay away from fruity ones in particular. Balsamic or straight italian vinaigrette are your best bets.
Since My husband and I are both diabetic, we have found Blue Cheese has the little sugar compared to a lot of others.
This is a valid point. Blue Cheese will be low on sugar, but at this point it is generally too high in fat to be allowed for ZReduction without causing people trouble. If you’re looking for something creamy I would recommend getting a full fat Caesar or ranch. If you’re not excited about those, you can always make your own vinaigrette with olive oil, vinegar and your favorite herbs and seasonings.
