I have not done a ZFood Alert in some time. I have not been adding more allowed items to the food list but I’m always looking for ways to give you crunch and entertainment while on Plan Z. Yesterday I actually ventured into the snack bag aisle. I almost never do that unless that’s where the nuts are in any given grocery store.
Well, lo and behold I picked up a bag of Fritos and read it. I was shocked at how simple the ingredient list was. Corn/corn oil and salt.
Now I normally refer to Frito-Lay as part of the Evil Empire but in this case, it appears as though we should be able to have a teeny snack of Fritos (original flavor only) and not lose our grip on ZReduction.
Your trick is going to be to stick to 8 chips only. 8 chips equal 4 grams of carbs. That’s all you get per serving. But if you are having a bowl of chili or the new taco salad I just designed, it just might do the trick for your crunch.

I am going to make a taco salad to nite using the allowed fritos and sour cream along with the other approved meat and veggies.Hown good does that sound?
Yum…that sounds delicious! The taco salad is one of my favorite recipes!
