Plan Z Phase: This is a Z2 (ZReduction) recipe. From Zola’s blender comes another dressing for Plan Z Reduction!
Servings: Serving size for Z2 is 2 Tablespoons, max.
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup of vinegar. Red wine or balsamic are good choices but you can use almost any vinegar. For a sweeter dressing use apple cider vinegar.
- 3 tsp of dijon mustard (find one with no sugar added)
- 1 tsp of minced garlic
- ½ – 1 tsp of Truvia. Start with ½ tsp of see if it’s sweet enough for you.
- 1 tsp of dried thyme
- 4 large fresh basil leaves (you can use dried basil in a pinch)
- 2 tsp of capers (drained and rinsed)
- 1 large shallot or 2 medium-sized shallots (you want approximately 1/3 cup of minced shallots)
Instructions:
Whiz all of this in a blender. Taste and adjust seasoning. You can add sea salt and pepper if you want. If you want the dressing more liquefied, add a bit of water to get it to the consistency you like.
Enjoy!

This Smokey-Sweet Barbecue Sauce is a great addition to your recipe collection. This can be made spicier with the addition of cayenne. I kept mine mild and spiced it up for my husband.

I love this recipe! When I make it I make a big batch and store it in a mason jar. A few times, I added a jalapeno to give it some kick and it was delicious! This is a favorite recipe that has my family craving their green tossed salads:)
