ZREDUCTION: LOSE WEIGHT WHILE EATING REAL FOOD

Delicious, satisfying, whole foods are a large part of Plan Z. We have over 1000 recipes that are exclusive to the diet. You get to choose from those recipes every day and make your own meals.

Diet food doesn’t have to taste like diet food. You’ll gain more control over your diet and more importantly, you’ll stop relying on packaged and processed foods (the foods that make us fat) for meals. Most recipes take less than 20 minutes to prepare and cook. You’ll have plenty of choices and you don’t have to be a great cook, or even a cook at all, to make these meals. You can choose from “fancy” food or comfort foods. You can even have dessert!

Dieters lose an average of 31 pounds during the 50-day ZReduction phase. Learn more about the four phases here. Want to see their success stories? Click here.

ZR50 Crave Control Spray

ZR50 CRAVE CONTROL SPRAY

Diet comfortably and successfully with our breakthrough, patented spray.
Just a few sprays a day under your tongue manages your cravings for sweet and fatty foods. Sugars and processed foods are addictive. When you stop eating them, your body rebels.

These diet symptoms have defeated you and me in the past:

  • Hunger
  • Cravings
  • Headaches
  • Crabbiness
  • Jitters
  • Achiness
  • Nausea

You know how hard it is to power through them.
Now you don’t have to.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The ZR50 Crave Control spray is made up of plant and mineral elements called remedies. Combined, they stimulate your body to combat the effects of the detoxing you go through. Just spray it under your tongue 4 times a day. The ZR50 Crave Control spray is made from natural ingredients. It’s not a drug. It has no hormones, no caffeine, no stimulants, and won’t make you feel like a gerbil on an exercise wheel. And it’s exclusive to Plan Z. US Patent officials confirm that the Plan Z approach to alleviating the discomforts of dieting is unique and credible. This is your weight loss solution.

What About Exercise?

NO EXERCISE WHILE LOSING WEIGHT.

Exercise is great. It’s important.
But we know two things about exercise (even the medical community agrees):

Exercise will make you stronger.
It will also make you hungry.

When you are on ZReduction put your energy into enjoying the dieting experience. Those who are seriously overweight have a difficult time approaching exercise, and they take a deep sigh of relief when they realize they don’t have to exercise to lose weight.

You are not going to lose muscle mass on ZReduction.

You’re only on it for 50 days. If you don’t currently exercise, your lifestyle and routine are going to remain the same. You ARE, however, going to lose fat.

Once you lose a considerable amount of weight, you’ll actually FEEL like exercising. When you get to the ZReboot phase of Plan Z we recommend you find an exercise program that suits your lifestyle. Some tightening will occur naturally during a process we call “reshaping” but for the bigger issues, you’ll need a targeted routine.

For strength, we recommend non-impact exercise, like yoga, pilates, and weight training. Too much emphasis is placed on exercises that strain your joints and your bones. There are plenty of things you can do that don’t wear out your skeleton. And not all of them require a gym membership.

Kids

Zola Pops

This recipe was contributed by Plan Z dieter Amy from Chicago. Good thinking, Amy! Great idea!

No Sugar Lemonade

I would not drink this all day while on ZReduction, but a couple of glasses should be fine.

Frito Meatloaf

This meatloaf makes six servings. When you serve it, remember that your crunch item is already included, so no breadstick or crackers with this meal.

Zucchini Lasagna

This lasagna has no noodles. Standing in for the noodle layers are zucchini sliced the long way.

Anniversary Chicken Tenders

Anniversary chicken is a rather famous recipe. Been around a long time. I don’t have any idea, though, where the name came from. I made my own twist on this recipe. Most often it’s made with chicken breast. I made mine with chicken tenders.

Pumpkin Chiffon

Feed this to the kids (and adults) instead of ice cream.

The Deconstructed Chicago Hotdog in Honor of the 2016 World Series Champs – The Chicago Cubs

It took the Cubs 108 years to win the World Series. It only took VP Anger Management 7 years to “invent” this recipe.

Snickerdoodle Pie Crust

You’ll be amazed! When this comes out of the oven, it smells just like the famous cookie! Use this in any pie that does not need to be baked.

Famous Burger Meatloaf

This is a “Whopper” of a meatloaf, designed to taste like the famous burger. I hope you enjoy.

A perfect way to cool down over the hot 4th of July weekend. Here’s everything you need to make a refreshing carbonated lemonade or limeade; depending on which way you choose to go.

Fruit Parfait

This is a must try, a wonderfully light and healthy dessert.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares

Think peanut butter cups. The sugar has all but been taken out of these little treats. And that’s the operative word. Little. Neither kids nor adults need big treats. One or two of these can satisfy that craving in anyone. They are divine. Serve one to your kid as a treat after dinner or set out a platter of them at a dinner party. The package of two Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups has 24 grams of carbs. One of these has 4.9 grams of carbs.

Mexican Casserole

I was shocked. I have made this casserole so many times in so many variations -- I had no idea I had never typed it up to share with all of you! I am going to give you one version here but I’ll also editorialize a bit and give you other options to experiment. This recipe is so easy it comes together in under 15 minutes and then you just bake to heat it. A novice can handle this one for sure…and a busy parent can get a kid-friendly recipe on the table fast.

Winter Apple “Pie”

Spice up your holidays without losing a step on Plan Z with this comforting winter-inspired recipe.

Apple “Popcorn” with Toppings

Going to the theatre or the movies? Pack this in a zippered baggie. The crunching of the apple won’t be any louder than the crunching of the popcorn. It’s a BIG YUM.

Oven-Roasted, Crispy Shallots

My husband goes ga-ga for these things. He loves them so much he’s even started volunteering to make them!

Chili Con Carne

This is a meaty chili with some veggies tossed in for crunch factor. Makes a satisfying lunch.

The Perfect Hard Boiled Egg

This is a great way to start a ZReduction morning! Remember, two eggs constitutes one of your protein portions for the day, so you will need to skip your lunch or dinner protein portion.

Apple Pie Filling

We have never worked with fruit pectin in this diet. Plan Z dieter Amy came up with the idea to try it. Brilliant idea! This opens up a whole new world of opportunity for thickening.

Serve with tomato slices and a salad and you have a nice meal. These are also good as Zola To GO!

Crispy Chicken

You have a hankerin’ for Fried Chicken? This will fit the bill.

Oshkosh Guacamole

Add zip to your chip with Dieter Carolyn's version of guacamole. The secret she says is using lime instead of lemon!

Scotch Eggs

A traditional Scotch Egg involves wrapping sausage around a whole hard-boiled egg. It is commonly eaten in Scotland, where the Scots will eat this either as an appetizer or as part of a main meal.

Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers

Depending on the size of your peppers you might have filling left over. You can keep this for later. It will make a lovely stuffing for an omelet.

Z3.5: Desserts

My Mother’s Apple Crisp

Cinnamon Cupcakes

Gluten free. Sugar free. And still a cupcake! You too can have dessert and not suffer the consequences. These are so healthy you could have one for breakfast!

Fluffy Whipped Cream Frosting

Vanilla Cupcakes

Gluten free. Sugar free. And still a cupcake! You too can have dessert and not suffer the consequences. These are so healthy you could have one for breakfast!

Yellow Cupcakes

I have not perfected low carb baking yet but these are pretty good. They have a little denser texture than a light and fluffy cupcake but these are made the old-fashioned way so they don’t have chemical ingredients that processed cupcakes do. They might remind you of a cupcake your grandma made.

Cream Cheese Frosting

This cream cheese frosting is LOVELY. I really enjoy it. I hope you do, too.

When special occasions come up (like birthdays), don’t think cake. Think this! It’s light, creamy, rich and perfect for family and friends. Easy too!

Almond Joy Cheesecake

The design of this recipe was a challenge. I don’t mind admitting it, but I think I got it.

Strawberry Rhubarb Bars

This is a wonderful, sweet treat.

Rhubarb Compote

Serve this on top of SO Delicious vanilla ice cream (portion size ½ cup of ice cream) or on top of dieter Amy’s lemon pound cake. Or eat plain with whipped cream on top.

Rhubarb Compote

A great seasonal dessert.

Vanilla Cream and Berries

This is a really LOVELY dessert. Serve this to company with no reservations, they will feel spoiled and it makes a fun family dessert, too.

Z3: Desserts

Chocolate Ganache

Sinfully delicious...with only three ingredients.

Frozen Yogurt Bark

The final product must be eaten right out of the freezer. They melt fast but they are a fun treat.

Fluffy, No Bake Lemon Cheesecake

I came up with this recipe as a tribute to Dieter Ron and his wife Jean. This darling couple drove from Wisconsin to Chicago just to meet me and my team.

Peach Parfait

The parfait is a serious twist on a Cooking Light recipe I came across, so I need to give them credit but I also wanted you to know it's light and rather healthy.

Java Fluff

If you are a coffee-flavored dessert lover, your dream boat just docked!

Creamy Dessert Sauce

I love this sauce over the inside out apple pie. YUM.

Pumpkin Chiffon

Feed this to the kids (and adults) instead of ice cream.

Snickerdoodle Pie Crust

You’ll be amazed! When this comes out of the oven, it smells just like the famous cookie! Use this in any pie that does not need to be baked.

Pumpkin Ice Box Pie

Just 10 minutes to bake the crust and the rest sets up in the refrigerator. EASY!

Ricotta Cream with Strawberry Compote

AKA VP Anger's 65th Birthday Dessert. This super-simple, light and dreamy dessert is easy enough for a weeknight treat and fancy enough to serve to a dinner party.

Peanut Butter Yogurt Swirl

This recipe works for breakfast or for dessert. Really satisfying! A great treat and super fast!

Lemon Curd

My husband’s favorite flavor is lemon. We have been together 33 years and every year I have made him a different lemon dessert for his birthday. I have had to get pretty creative after all these years!

Almond Flour Pie Crust (or Tart Crust)

This is a pretty popular low carb pie crust recipe. I adjusted it to Zolafy it. Be sure to get some of the new sugar substitute. The Swerve people even make a powdered version you can use to make frosting!

Grilled Peaches with Cinnamon Butter Sauce

I adapted this recipe for Plan Z from one of Bobby Flay’s ideas. I love a good grilled peach in the summer. Even if you have a crowd over for a barbecue you can grill up a bunch of these in a jiffy and everyone will enjoy a healthy dessert.

Multi Berry Kefir Smoothie

This frozen smoothie is the probiotic bust you need.

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

Dieter Caitlin found the perfect fall recipe from Carolyn, the writer and recipe developer behind All Day I Dream About Food. This perfect pumpkin treat invites all the spice and warmth of autumn into your mouth without the additional unwanted carbs.

Stone Fruit Crisp

Showcasing some delicious stone fruit, this dessert will add a refreshing zing to your summer.

Deep Chocolate Bars

One of the most decadent offerings of Plan Z. This bar tastes more like a deep chocolate cake than a brownie.

Inside Out Apple Pie

I served this at a fancy dinner party the other night and guests RAVED. No one missed the crust. They swooned over the pie with the dessert sauce.

Z2: Desserts

Blueberry Shots

Serve in small glasses and you’ll feel like you are having a very sophisticated after dinner drink.

Warm Apple Dessert (Compote)

This tastes amazingly like gooey apple pie! This is delightful. Just like Grandma used to make.

Blackberry Smoosh

This dessert will become a very special one during ZReduction. You can make it as a special treat.

Raspberry Sorbet

The amount of stevia needed will depend on how tart your berries are to start with, and how sweet you want your sorbet.

Jubilant Cherries

Tastes just like the pie filling. The color will be more pale because you will not be pouring in a bunch of red dye. You don’t need those chemicals in your system.

Apple Raspberry Bake

This dessert tastes a lot like Mom’s apple pie with a twist. A nice, zingy twist. If you are one of those people who likes an apple/cranberry pie you’ll love this.

Rhubarb-Strawberry Almost Pie

I love it when Rhubarb is in season. Big Yum!

Rhubarb Compote

You can cook this til it’s soft and chunky or keep right on going until it dissolves to mush.

Apple Pie Filling

We have never worked with fruit pectin in this diet. Plan Z dieter Amy came up with the idea to try it. Brilliant idea! This opens up a whole new world of opportunity for thickening.

Apple Chips

When we were at lunch the other day, Jen mentioned how dieters miss their crunch. She wondered if we could come up with a recipe for apple chips.

Hot Strawberries with Crumb Streusel

It’s not often I come up with new desserts in ZReduction so look this one over carefully. It’s yummy. Hot strawberries with a crumb streusel.

“Fried” Apples

Place on dish, sprinkle ¼ tsp of cinnamon over apple slices, and serve.

Balsamic Strawberries

In a hurry for a ‘fancy’ dessert? Well, it’s really not fancy but it tastes different and tastes gourmet so most folks would call it fancy. And it’s super simple. Enjoy!

Apple “Almost” Pie

This is an amazingly satisfying dessert. Close your eyes, chew slowly, and you can almost imagine that you are eating real apple pie.

Sauteed Apples

If you use it as a side on ZReduction you will still eat your veggie but you won’t eat dessert. This is like eating dessert early.

Apple Ginger Compote

This is a super-simple dessert or entrée accompaniment.

Berries with Sweet Cream

When you are on ZReduction even the least little bit of cream tastes like heaven. This is a super simple dessert that combines cream with your favorite berries.

Inside Out Blueberry Pie

Blueberry pie is a favorite of many. This one will make you feel like you got the best parts of the pie with no guilt and no crust.

Just Like Strawberry Pie

If you love strawberry pie then this is your Z2 dessert. Just no crust, but maybe you won’t even miss it.

Z3.5: Sides & Veggies

Sweet and Spicy Mashed Yams

I went a bit nuts the other day and made up this version of a spicy mashed yam. Whenever I get a hankering for mashed potatoes I go get yams.

Chipotle Sweet Potato Casserole

This recipe was contributed by Plan Z dieter David. Zola says keep the portion small to keep your carb count down.

Bean Hash

This is one of the simplest recipes you can make. I almost hesitate to offer it because it is so simple.

Z3: Sides & Veggies

Sea Salt Crusted Snap Peas

A variation of my sea salt crusted snow peas recipe - but with snap peas!

Cauliflower Mac and Cheese

You know how you can eat mac and cheese and not even use your teeth? This had the same result. BIG YUM!

Sweet Onion Casserole

This is a super easy side dish that can be mixed up in a flash and then baked. It will go well with any piece of roasted meat and can work on a buffet for a party.

Zucchini Fritters (or Pancakes)

Fried till golden using coconut flour.

Chunky Cajun Peach Sauce

You can reheat this to serve or you can serve it room temp or cold. Just depends on the time of year you make it. In the summer it would be great cold.

Exotic Teriyaki Mushrooms

These mushrooms are a super side dish. Perfect for a quiet dinner for two. Or make a giant bowl and serve on a holiday.

Cooked “Carpaccio” Salad

I did a cooked variation of this dish and served it as an entrée. Loved it.

Zucchini Noodles (Zoodles)

You’ll never miss the pasta if you start serving these with your Italian dishes. They are pretty, too!

Cauliflower Mash

The touch of nutmeg in here really makes the dish. Try this as a substitute for mashed potatoes. It’s really quite delightful

Buttered Mushrooms

Dieter Rebecca first had this warm and rustic side dish while in Ireland on a road trip in 1994. These mushrooms where in every Irish B&B Dieter Rebecca visited. She loved the recipe so much she recreated it for Plan Z! Hope you enjoy.

Parmesan Crust

This crust can be used with any kind of a savory dish. This is going to be a super-popular recipe.

Butternut Squash Casserole

Serve this at your next family event instead of potatoes and you’ll save 30% of the carbs.

Can be a vegetarian entrée or a side dish. SUPER Yummy because as the squash bakes it becomes sweet.

Butternut Squash Fries

You will not believe how easy these are to make and how wonderful they taste! Once you start eating these “fries” you’ll never miss the other ones.

Shiitakes in Vermouth

This one is for the gourmet cooks in the group. You can do this with any standard mushrooms and make it less exotic but the gourmet cooks will appreciate the earthy flavor of the shiitakes.

Swiss Chard with Bacon

Everything goes better with bacon…as the saying goes. So this side dish will be a hit.

Asparagus with Toasted nuts

Timing the side dishes to come out and be warm when served can also be a challenge. I am offering up this idea for an asparagus side dish because asparagus tastes good at any temperature.

Yogurt with Fruit and Nuts

Okay. This seems so simple. Everyone wants a fast breakfast or snack. Your kids will be giddy with this as their breakfast or their after school snack.

Creamy Leek Pie

This recipe makes a yummy vegetarian lunch or side dish to go with a protein. I also put it in Zola to GO! because it can travel to a buffet.

Marvelous Mushrooms

This mushroom dish was designed to go with steak but I am confident it will go well with chicken or even an omelet. The taste is rich so be ready for some big YUMs around your table.

Z2: Sides & Veggies

Spinach Sauteed with Garlic and Chopped Tomato

This is quick cooking at its best…or novice cooking for those who are just discovering their talents in the kitchen.

Spicy-Sweet Green Bean Medley

Add this zippy side dish to your favorite piece of protein for a vitamin packed veggie punch.

Sauteed Purple Cabbage and Pea Pods

This side dish comes together in a snap. The vibrant purples and greens of the cabbage and pea pods make a boring dish pop.

Beefy Peppered Onions

This side dish will make just about any man’s day. Think of pairing it with a small steak or a grilled chicken breast.

Roasted Plum Tomatoes with Chinese Eggplant

Roasting the vegetables really brings out lovely caramelized flavors in the eggplant and tomatoes. Try pairing this side dish with my Halibut with Shallots and Bacon recipe for a light and tasty meal.

Asian Veggie Stir Fry

This dish can be served with something as simple as a grilled steak or a baked chicken breast. If you want an American-Asian combo this is the way to go. It’s also designed to be served with the seared sea scallops for a more Asian-directed entrée.

Asian Asparagus

This type of dinner comes together VERY quickly. The flavors of the asparagus make a very simple dinner taste fancy and pairs really nicely with a plain, grilled piece of meat.

Pan Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Jalapenos

I used to HATE Brussels sprouts. I couldn't even stand the smell of them cooking. I love them now, as long as they are caramelized which brings out the sweetness. This version is spicy!

Oven-Roasted, Crispy Shallots

My husband goes ga-ga for these things. He loves them so much he’s even started volunteering to make them!

Roasted Plum Tomatoes

Quick, simple and a great side to any dish.

Crispy Shallots

This is such an easy dish to make. My husband doesn’t even miss onion rings he loves these so much.

Sauteed Swiss Chard with Peppers and Onions

This dish is full of vitamins. One cup of Swiss chard has over 700% of the vitamin K you need in one day. Over 200% of the vitamin A you need and over 50% of your vitamin C.

Tomato Pizzettas

This is a great side dish but also makes a great appetizer platter to bring to a party or get-together.

Tomato Leek Casserole

This dish re-heats just fine in a microwave or oven if you're taking it to work or another event.

Cowboy Onions

These onions are NOT spicy. In fact they are almost sweet and have a little zing at the end. You can kick them up hotter as you add the hot sauce.

Roasted Asparagus with Artichoke Heart “Sauce”

Serve this with a simple small filet or grilled chicken breast for a wonderful meal.

Italian Roasted Tomatoes

These go with any grilled meat or fish. Or any Italian meal as a side dish.

Eggplant Salad

This salad can be served as a side dish. It can be warm, room temperature or cold; depending on the weather outside and your tastes. It’s an earthy dish with some zip from the vinegar.

Eggplant Tomato Combo

This eggplant tomato combo can be eaten as a side dish or as a spread. When I make an antipasti tray for an appetizer course, I’ll sometimes include this as a dip or spread for crackers.

Ratatouille

Well for those unfamiliar, ratatouille is actually a really fine French vegetable dish. So easy to make!

Z3.5: Entrees

Veggie Tart

This makes a lovely lunch or dinner with a salad on the side. Tastes very French or Italian. Vegetarians who eat dairy will love it. This can also be served as a side dish with grilled meat. It really does stand well on its own though.

Juicy Tomato Pesto Tart

I used big, ruby red and ripe tomatoes to make this. I cut the slices fairly thick too. That contributes to the juiciness. This is a perfect light dinner or lunch. I also added oven-cooked bacon as a protein side dish. A bit of extra bacon was also kept to be diced into bacon bits for the leftovers. Those we sprinkled on top. All magic!

Dump and Bake Casserole (EASY)

I’ll lay out the instructions with chicken, but it can also be made with ham, tuna (canned or fresh cooked) smoked chicken or even a pulled apart rotisserie chicken.

Lobster Rolls

The best lobster rolls I ever had were served by my mother-in-law Sally at their cottage in Maine. I never asked her for the recipe. Dumb me! I have been working to duplicate her recipe and this is the closest yet.

Pecan Crusted Fish Fillets with Lemon Sauce

I made my version of this with salmon because it’s my husband’s favorite. I can see this being done with any thick fish fillet. Some options might be cod, halibut, swordfish, or even tuna steak.

Creamy Ravioli

This whole dinner comes together in about 15 minutes. There are just days when you can’t make everything from scratch. You need something you can get on the dinner table quickly.

Air Fryer Crispy Tofu

Dieter Claire brings us this fabulous recipe for air-fried tofu and veggies. She took the Plan Z General Tso recipe’s sauce and combined them to make a mighty tasty dish. Thank you, Claire!

Chicken Tender Chunks in a Sun-Dried Tomato Cream Sauce

A wonderful summer recipe with a little lesson in chicken meat processing.

Creamed Orzo with Leeks and Parmesan

Orzo is a wonderful, tiny pasta. This is the most requested side dish recipe I get from dinner guests–but watch your portion size. Enjoy!

Air Fryer Fish Fry

A fish fry is a big deal in Wisconsin. The tradition is to serve the fish with French fries, coleslaw and a slice of rye bread with butter. It’s usually made with cod or perch.

Asian Barbecue Salmon (Roasted or Grilled)

Ever made your own BBQ sauce? Here's a quick, easy and delicious recipe for a home made option.

Crispy Chicken with Summer Sauce

This dish will remind you of chicken Parmesan but this has a lighter sauce made with summer veggies. It's easy to make and can be fancy enough to serve at a backyard party.

Marinated Flank Steak – Air Fryer or Grill

Flank steak needs to marinate to give it full flavor and to make it tender. It just needs a little attention to make it shine. I cooked this in my air fryer but if you don’t have one you can just toss it on the grill and follow the same basic instructions.

Low Carb Foldover Quesadilla

I have done these with a crowd at a party and laid out all the ingredients. Each person took a plate, a tortilla and went around placing their ingredients on the tortilla. Then they brought them to me to grill. I have given instructions here for how to bake them too.

Upside Down Tamale Pie

In a regular tamale pie the cornbread is usually on top, like a crust. This low carb tamale pie actually has NO CORN in it. I call it Upside Down because in this recipe the “cornbread” is actually on the bottom.

Chicken Enchiladas Suizas Casserole

This is my favorite dish to order in a Mexican restaurant. Trouble is they wrap it in several rolled-up tortillas. This is much better for you if you make it with one tortilla and do it as a casserole

Puff Pastry Quiche

I serve this with a side of crispy, oven bacon. LOVE it for brunch or even dinner. It’s easy to assemble and comes out of the oven in short order

Curried Shrimp

This is a very versatile dish! it can be made spicy with the addition of cayenne. You can serve it with rice or with a side of vegetables. My trick to use less rice is to make an “island” of rice in the middle of your plate. Just a rim and put the curried shrimp in the middle.

Beef Stroganoff

This beef stroganoff can be eaten out of a bowl like a thick soup or stew. Or you can serve it with a side of veggies. Or if you're feeling really indulgent, add some egg noodles!
